The Pennsylvania Railroad Station 19th century
Title
The Pennsylvania Railroad Station 19th century
Description
The Pennsylvania Rail Road station was located southwest of the present Penn Station on the opposite side of Market Street. This building had a roof that sheltered passengers from weather while waiting for trolleys and carriages. The tracks were elevated, seen on the left, creating a barrier between the center city and the ironbound section (named because it was bound by iron railroad tracks).
