Description

St Stephan's Church is located in the Ironbound district of Newark. The main facade shares Georgian and Romanesque elements. The main entrance is framed by two diagonal buttresses and surmounted by a prominent rose window. The red brick walls are contrasted by white wood trimmings while quatrefoils are well-integrated in the round-arched apertures of the facade. The whole composition is topped with a white steeple.

Condition History

Some alterations have taken place in the apse. A rotating pulpit with a fold-out lectern was donated by a German beer brewery.
