The Bergen Building is one building of the Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) campus in Newark. The building has served as a medical and educational space under several different auspices since its construction in XXX. Originally constructed as Martland General Hospital in 1954. The building was built on the old site of the original Newark City Hospital that was constructed in 1882. Most recently, the building was home to New Jersey College of Medicine & Dentistry before its consolidation with Rutgers University in the early 2010s.
